The breakfast was good. The evening meal in the restaurant was very good. Good service - friendly staff.
No sound proofing in room. The room far too small. The bathroom was a joke it was so small. The toilet seat was broken. The radiator in the room needed bleeding. The TV was rubbish and on top of the wardrobe! The noise from other residents went on in the bar until 1.00 in the morning and people started leaving their rooms very noisily at 5.45am so we got no sleep at all really. The inn needs to open earlier in the evening because there is nowhere to relax in your room - it needs sofas by the fire downstairs where you can have a drink or coffee and be able to feel you are on HOLIDAY.

The set up was lovely with a lodge type room which gave you independence. The restaurant meals were excellent as was the breakfast The staff were also very friendly and efficient. The whole of the accommodation was immaculately clean and this is a very good location for Scarborough.
We booked and paid for a Superior double room. We were given room 17 which although roomy - didn't come up to our expectations of a superior room. The bed was very creaky and the mattress uncomfortable. We placed the mattresss on the floor for 2 of our 3 night stay and this improved our comfort. Room 17 faces directly onto the A64 which has heavy traffic and unfortunately a window in the back of the room faced onto a bright night light. It would be cery easy to improve this room by replacing the mattress/bed and putting up a 'black out' blind as the venetian blinds in place to do not block out the light. I would stay here again if I could have a better bed and a room not facing directly onto the A64

After a long day walking in the rain, we arrived to a lovely warm room with comfy beds and great shower. The cozy pub downstairs provided a nice spot to unwind, and the garden area looked lovely for a sunny morning. The only downside was the road noise, but it faded away once we settled in. 😊
